Partners in Success

Partnerships are the foundation of our organization because they provide long-term sustainability. Local, state, and national organizations and businesses help INPEACE through in-kind donations and significant program funding. Kamehameha Schools has been a consistent partner, providing funds to assist INPEACE in strengthening the utilization and quality of education on theWai‘anae Coast. Over the yearsKamehameha helped fund INPEACE programs like Hoāla, Keiki Steps to Kindergarten, and Kūlia & Ka Lama Education AcademyAs a resultpreschool seats on the Waianae Coast have been utilized 100% since 2011since 2004, 6,686 keiki and their parents transitioned smoothly into kindergarten through a 2-to 3-week summer transition program, many keiki of whom had no prior preschool experience; and, approximately 30 certificates or degrees are earned each year through our support of non-traditional students who return to college seeking credentials to become teachers in their own community. Together, INPEACE and Kamehameha Schools are building a strong partnership to truly help keiki reach their full potential. Funding Grants

A grant from the US Department of Education under the Native Hawaiian Education Act has provided support for vital programs such as Keiki Steps, a parentparticipation preschool program. In 2018, this grant allowed us to expand Keiki Steps classrooms to the island of Kauai, in partnership with Kapa‘a and Kekaha Elementary Schools.  We were also able to add a new site at Kaumana Elementary in the Hilo area on the island of Hawaii. Large key grants like these provide the primary or initial start-up support for most of our programs and we pursue this funding tirelessly to ensure we can provide a diverse set of programs to address all community needs.
