    Posted: January 22, 2013

Tune in to watch INPEACE CEO Kanoe Nāone and other early learning advocates discuss why preschool is so important! Watch "The Power of Preschool" with host and broadcast journalist Stacy Loe on the Hawai'i News Now stations. See why an investment in early learning is critical for Hawai'i.

    The show airs:

    • Tonight (Wednesday), January 23, and Saturday, January 26, at 6:30 p.m. on KGMB.
    • Tomorrow (Thursday), January 24, and Sunday, January 27, at 6:30 p.m. on KHNL

The Be My Voice! Hawaiʻi campaign features Kanoe and other early childhood advocates. Preschool is essential because it prepares children for the challenges ahead in kindergarten and beyond. Keiki with an early education are more likely to stay out of trouble, graduate high school and find higher-paying jobs.

Governor Neil Abercrombie said in his State-of-the-State address yesterday that developing a state-funded universal preschool program is a priority for him. He encouraged everyone to watch the special and learn why early learning can make a big difference in your child’s success.
