Larrilynn Holu Tamashiro

Born and raised in Waiʻanae, Ms. Larrilynn Holu Tamashiro came to INPEACE 11 years ago through the Ka Lama Education Academy. Ms. Tamashiro is one of the first graduates of the Ka Lama Education Academy – Cohort One. She is one of many success stories within INPEACE.

In 1998, Ms. Tamashiro received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and is now serving her own community as a teacher at Ka Waihona o ka Naʻauao Public Charter School. She worked as the Lead Coordinator for the Education Academy for nearly 10 years and was influential in recruiting new students into the program.

Her leadership, personal connections within the community, as well as her understanding of the issues facing Native Hawaiians have been instrumental in advancing the mission of INPEACE.
